Incomparable to Nature Itself

Via Flickr:
The fruits of human production, whether literary, artistic, or fashion, ar incomperable to nature itself. But nature is not something we can absorb directly: most people require some predigestion---and that is culture. Very few people have the perspicacity or ability to derive their sustenance directly from nature. Human wants and interests are narrow and biased, and if we were to concern ourselves with only the human world, we would be limiting ourselves to a very narrow worldview. -Ai WeiWei
